At FreeAux.com, we don’t lure you in with hype and then surprise you later. We give you the truth right up front.

It’s very simple. All standard auction listings are 100% FREE. You are free to create as many auctions as you like, sell your items, and walk away with no fees whatsoever. Even if your auctions don’t sell, you can run them again and again with no fees. No listing fees, no end-of-auction fees, no reserve fees, and no picture fees.

The only way to generate a fee here is to specify that your auction be given special treatment or upgrades. For example; if you wanted your auction to be featured on the homepage or maybe highlighted in bright yellow, that sort of thing would have a fee, albeit a very small one.

Why so cheap? Because we simply wanted to prove that an auction site could operated without a bunch of big time fees. You see, we are not here to fleece you. What few fees we do have are very small and really only help to maintain the site.

If you create an auction and you want to accept instant payments from your winning bidders through PayPal, you first need to setup a few things. Of course, you will be required to open a PayPal account if you don't already have one. Opening a personal account is free and accepting instant payments from your sell auctions is also free.

Even after you have a PayPal account you still need to accomplish two more things before your instant payment buttons will work. Since the process involves some cooperation between our computers and the PayPal computers, you need to configure some simple things at each end. (Don't worry, they are both easy.)

First Step:

Here at FreeAux.com, you must enter your PayPal registration email address into your Members Area Profile. This is so that our auction software knows whose PayPal account should get the money. (OK, you definitely don't want to screw up that part.)

Here's how to do the first step:
Go to our Members Area, (left sidebar,) and click “Manage Account”. Under the Direct Payment Settings enter the email address you used when you created your PayPal account. Then click the “Update” button at the bottom of the page.

Second Step:

At the PayPal site, you need to enable the Instant Payment Notification (IPN) feature. (This is so PayPal can instantly notify FreeAux.com when your buyer's instant payment has been received.)

Here's how to do the second step:
Go to PayPal and log in as normal. Once you arrive at the MY ACCOUNT OVERVIEW page, click on the blue bar where it says PROFILE, or use the “Edit Profile” link near your name. Under the column SELLING PREFERENCES, find and click the link named “Instant Payment Notification Preferences.” This should bring you to the screen where you can enable IPN. Click the “Edit” button. Next screen, you need to check the little box and enter the following URL. Enter this exactly as it is below. (Highlight the URL text and use copy and paste for best results.)

Don't forget to hit the “Save” button when done.

Log out and let the fun begin. You should now be able to select the PayPal button for payment methods while creating your auctions.
